At Stark Link we only accept online job applications and we take all job seekers through a structured recruitment process. The following steps will give you a good idea of what to expect.
- Step 1 – Application
- Step 2 – Screening
- Step 3 – Shortlist
- Step 4 – Interviews & Final Selection Process
- Step 5 – Employment Offer and Joining Process
Step 1 – Application:
Stark Link only accepts applications submitted through our career site. The entire application process should take no longer than 7-8 minutes, and typically involves three stages:
- Entering basic personal information
- Answering job-specific questions
- Copying and pasting as well as uploading your CV
We take the view that if you are passionate about our company you will be more than willing to take a little time to complete this process. If you have applied though a recruitment agency your application will be made by the agency through our recruitment software on your behalf.
Step 2 – Screening:
Your application will be assessed by our state-of-the-art recruitment software and if you successfully match the job requirements, your application will then be forwarded to our recruitment team for review.
The recruitment team will evaluate your profile, assess your answers to the job-specific questions and review your CV to determine whether your skills and experience match the job profile and requirements. A short list of candidates is created for the next step.
Step 3 – Shortlisting:
If your application is shortlisted, your profile and details will be reviewed by the Line Manager (the person who will eventually manage or supervise the successful candidate). The Line Manager will gauge the technical skills and specific experience for the role and with the recruitment team selects the candidates who will be contacted for interview.
Step 4 – Interviews:
Our recruitment team will contact shortlisted applicants to arrange an initial interview, which will be either face-to-face or by telephone, depending on the candidate’s location. The initial interview will examine the competencies and skills required for the role you have applied for. We will also discuss your reasons for choosing Stark Link, and, where applicable, your readiness to relocate to a new country. A face-to-face interview will follow the telephone interview and if selected, you will then be invited to an Assessment Centre, an Open Day event or a Selection Day depending on the role for which you are applying.
These final selection events can consist of interviews, presentations, role play or analysis exercises and group activities, all measured against the requirements for the role. The Recruitment, Human Resources, and Operations teams are all actively involved in the final selection process, ensuring that we hire the best candidate for the role.
Prior to meeting us you will receive plenty of additional information about the company and the role and you will have every chance to ask questions throughout the recruitment process.
For overseas applicants for managerial positions, the final selection stage will always include a visit to the country where the position is located. The decision to relocate to a new country is not one you should take lightly, so we will give you the opportunity to see for yourself what that country is like.
We encourage applicants to treat the final stage as a two-way decision making process, and you will find that our recruitment team will always give you honest answers to the many questions you will undoubtedly have. You will also have the chance to speak with some of our existing expatriate workers, who will be happy to share their own experiences of life in the region – both the many positives and the occasional frustrations too!
Step 5 – Employment Offer and Joining Process:
If you are successful at this stage, you will receive a formal offer of employment from Stark Link. On your written acceptance of the role, we start to co-ordinate your onboarding process with you. Relocating from one country to another is a time-consuming process, so we work hard to make sure joining Stark Link is as simple as possible. This includes arranging the required visas and assisting with any other formalities required under local labour law.
We will also arrange temporary accommodation prior to your arrival and will do all we can to help you to acclimatize during your first weeks with the company.
If you are a current employee of Stark Link, all job roles are advertised and you are required to apply online too and you will need to complete the same process as external applicants.
Please note that upon receipt of an offer from Stark Link, you may be required to provide some or all of the following:
- Employment References
- Police Good Conduct Certificate / Criminal Records Check
- Medical Reports
- Education Certificates
- Other documentation as required by local labour law
Your Recruitment Coordinator will provide you with more information on what documents we need from you and advise you on how to obtain these in your home country. If you have any doubts about your ability to provide any of the above, you should inform your Recruitment Coordinator as soon as possible. We always ask for references from your previous employers and these will be sought upon your written acceptance of the job offer.
